Selina Jen (任家萱) of girl group SHE
underwent a debridement operation for five hours in Taipei on Monday
that removed dead, damaged, or infected tissue to improve the healing
potential of the remaining healthy tissue.
She was conscious and in a stable condition, according to the statement released by her record label HIM Inc (華研國際音樂).
Fifty percent of her body—legs, arms, back and waist—were burned, and her face had blisters.
It requires two to three weeks
for observation (not to get infection is the priority) before the
medical team can assess the rehabilitation situation.
Her father said Selina is in extreme pain and pain-relief has been administered.
